In May 2025, Broadsheet published a considered perspective on Domic – capturing a residence that sits quietly within its environment rather than apart from it.
Set into the dunes of Sunshine Beach, the architecture is defined by a series of softened forms and vegetated roofs that allow the home to recede into the surrounding landscape.
“It’s all soft edges, curves and grassy roofs at Domic.”
This approach reflects a deeper intention: to create a residence that responds to place with restraint. The design draws from earth-sheltered architecture, where structure and environment are not in opposition, but in dialogue.
Inside, the experience is expansive yet deliberately composed. Natural light moves gently across curved walls and ocean views remain uninterrupted. Materials are pared back and tactile, allowing the architecture and setting to take precedence.
“Despite its miniature reference, the three-level home is expansive.”
Moments of retreat unfold with equal clarity. The ocean-facing pool sits level with the horizon, while the private spa—complete with steam, sauna and ice bath—offers a quieter rhythm of restoration.
Broadsheet’s perspective reflects what Domic was always intended to offer: a place of stillness, where architecture, landscape and experience exist in quiet alignment.
