Long lunches in Noosa are less about the clock and more about the cadence of the day – salt in the air, linen catching the breeze, a second glass poured without ceremony. For guests of Domic, these are the meals that stretch effortlessly from late morning into golden afternoon, returning home unhurried.
Here are our favourite places to settle in:
In Residence at Domic – Sunshine Beach
Why leave at all?
Our favourite long lunch doesn’t require reservations, traffic, or watching the clock – it begins in residence.
Our insider choice: a private, in‑house dining experience curated by award‑winning local chef Andrea Ravezzani. Each menu is entirely bespoke, designed around your tastes and the best local produce available that day – whether that’s a seafood-led coastal lunch, a relaxed Italian feast, or something quietly celebratory.
Lunch unfolds at your pace. No set times, no other tables, no interruptions. Just beautifully considered food, poured wine, and the rare luxury of privacy – all without leaving Domic.

Bistro C – Hastings St, Noosa Heads
An enduring Noosa classic, newly refreshed. Bistro C’s latest menu leans into the best of coastal produce with a lighter, more contemporary hand – think pristine seafood, balanced flavours, and an elegance that feels current yet familiar.
Our insider order: the crispy-skin barramundi fillet – reliably excellent, cooked with confidence and just enough restraint to let the fish shine. Begin with freshly shucked oysters (natural), and if you linger, the lemon tart remains quietly iconic.
Set directly on Hastings Street with uninterrupted views across Laguna Bay, it’s ideal for a long lunch that begins with oysters and ends with the sun slipping west. Relaxed, refined, and unmistakably Noosa.

Peli’s – Noosa Marina
Effortless and unfussy, Peli’s is where locals linger. A Mediterranean-leaning menu, riverfront setting, and easy hospitality make it a favourite for long, sociable lunches. It’s also from the same team behind Sum Yung Guys – another Noosa institution known for its bold Asian-fusion flavours.
Our insider order: opt for the Just Feed Me menu. It’s the best way to experience the kitchen – a considered spread of plates that reflects what’s freshest and most loved. Add a chilled coastal white and let the afternoon stretch.
Perfect for a casual yet considered lunch, particularly after a morning on the water.

Ricky’s River Bar & Restaurant – Noosa heads
Set quietly along the Noosa River, Ricky’s is polished without pretence. The menu champions seasonal Australian produce, executed with restraint and confidence.
Our insider order: begin with the braised octopus – tender, considered, and deeply flavoured – followed by the whole roasted barramundi for the table. Best enjoyed with a crisp white as the river slows into afternoon.
Arrive by car or boat, stay for hours. Ricky’s is particularly beautiful in the softer light of day, when everything feels unhurried.

Sails Restaurant – Hastings St, Noosa Heads
Beachfront dining at its most timeless. Sails is defined by its simplicity – white tablecloths, exceptional service, and a menu that allows premium ingredients to speak for themselves.
Our insider order: begin with Oscietra caviar, then linger over Moreton Bay bug – a combination that feels celebratory yet entirely in keeping with Sails’ understated approach. Champagne or a classic martini is never out of place here.
Ideal for milestone lunches or when the occasion calls for understated luxury, just steps from the sand.
Coya – Noosa Junction
Warm, layered, and deeply atmospheric, Coya brings a South American rhythm to Noosa’s dining scene. Designed for sharing, its menu is bold yet balanced – vibrant flavours, fire-kissed proteins, and a cocktail list that rewards curiosity.
Our insider order: start with the yellowfin tuna tiradito, then move to the Black Angus beef fillet – beautifully cooked and ideal for sharing. A classic pisco sour or a mezcal-forward cocktail pairs effortlessly.
A long lunch here feels immersive and social, unfolding in chapters rather than courses.

Worth the Journey
If you’re inclined to venture slightly beyond Noosa, these destinations are well worth the drive – each offering a distinct sense of place.
Spirit House – Yandina – A lush, immersive experience set within tropical gardens. Refined Asian-inspired cuisine, best enjoyed as a leisurely escape from the coast.
Delilah – Peregian Beach – An intimate, design-led pizzeria and bar with a focus on thoughtful technique and seasonal produce. Relaxed yet considered, it offers a quieter, more contemplative dining experience beyond the coast.
Bask – Peregian Beach – A true paddock-to-plate restaurant that takes pride in the European art of long lunching. Seasonal, produce-driven, and deeply connected to its growers, Bask is relaxed yet purposeful – perfect for lingering over thoughtful food and good wine.
Periwinkle – Peregian Beach – French-influenced and charming, Periwinkle offers classic flavours executed with finesse, perfect for an elegant long lunch away from the bustle.
At Domic, we believe the best meals are those that mirror the way you want to feel – unrushed, well looked after, and fully present. Whether you stay close to Hastings Street or wander further afield, Noosa rewards those who take their time.
Should you wish, our team is always happy to curate reservations, transport, or a seamless return to the quiet of Domic afterwards.
Curated for you,
The Domic Team
